Santiago Ramón

Santiago Ramón

Graduate in Business and Economic Sciences, University Teaching MA and Diploma in DEA Advanced Studies.

He has developed his professional career as General Manager for German supermarket chain LIDL, which he established in Spain in the nineties.

After being Managing Director at ONCE, he specialised in Strategic Consulting and created his own company. Among other projects, he created new commercial formats for the Arab group MAF, a franchise of French Carrefour.

He is the Academic Director at Santander Risk MA, has directed the Public Administration MA in INAP, and lectures at the Université Paris-Dauphine, at École de Management de Normandie in Caen, and at Riga Business School.

He is currently immersed in a retail project with a global reach.

Julio Macias

Julio Macias

Executive Master in Project Management, M.Sc. Architecture, International Master in Business Administration (IMBA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and Property Agent.

Julio has been acting as project, program and portfolio manager and PMO director since 1998, specializing in all related areas of management (business administration, operations and projects). Julio is highly experienced in quality and project implementations working in an international multicultural arena.

The portfolio of Julio includes attractive developments such as the Ritz Carlton hotel in Riyadh, PN10 of the Princess Nora University program, the “Supervision Services – First Stage Projects For Riyadh Water Supply Master Plan Contracts”, “Consultancy Services for the delivery of 800,000 m3 of water from Haradh to Riyadh”, among over two hundred (>200) other completed projects. These projects completed by Julio involve multi-billion dollar investment.

Julio´s international working experience includes countries such as his homeland country of Spain, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Morocco, Qatar, and Pakistan among others. He also participates in a number of social and educational international projects.

Julio has been in the position as a senior project tutor for the Master Project Program since 2015, lecturing in Project Management (PMI and IPMA) in both the English and Spanish programs.

Carlos García Suarez

Garcia Suarez has thirty-five years of professional experience in teaching, consulting and engineering activities in the area of environment, technology and energy. His current professional activities are focused towards renewable energies.

He manages solar, biomass and wind projects across the world, providing services to major investors and undertaking project development activities.

Prior to his engagement in the energy sector he has worked in corporate environment management consulting for more than 15 years, providing services to large multinational corporations and a diversity of government agencies, including the European Commission, the Spanish Government and US DoD. In the early stages of his professional career he worked in the space and the electronics industries.
He has been both an employee and an entrepreneur (for ten years). The company he co-founded was sold to a major corporation. Currently he manages the renewable energy consulting and engineering business of Typsa, a substantial professional services firm with a staff of 2,500 and offices across the world.

José Paredes

José Paredes

Architecture MA, Project Management MA, PMP, expert at university level on Cooperation for Basic Skills and member of the volunteer body at the IFRC, providing humanitarian aid during natural disasters.

For most of his career he has focused on defining and managing projects, initially within the field of architecture and urban design, but also managing unique and complex projects outside Spain.

As a city planner, he has rolled out projects for the planning, design and realisation of public spaces and urban management plans. As an architect he has designed and managed large-scale residential projects, single-family developments, and unconventional buildings like wineries or industrial buildings.

He has also designed and managed a project to equip 21 railway stations on the North South Railway line in Saudi Arabia for the infrastructure management company SAR, incorporating 114 buildings distributed throughout the Arabian Peninsula.

Information Technology and Business Management MA from the University of Stirling in Scotland, where he currently works teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.

He has over 25 years’ experience teaching at University level in the Middle East and South America.

He has worked extensively in trade and industry, both at home in the UK in software development for the oil and gas industry and for the financial services sector. He has also worked abroad in a number of countries, such as Spain where he collaborated with many well-known organisations such as ENDESA.

He lectures on all aspects of Information Systems and Technology, primarily in his areas of expertise: systems development and the project lifecycle, software design, enterprise database systems and data analytics.

Within the framework of our MA courses he holds the positions of Product Manager, Head of Admissions and Chief Consultant to our international network of consultants and project managers.

He is currently working together with Julio Macías (introduced further below) on a pioneering project at an international level: the establishment of multiple universities in the Middle East.

Graduated in Psychology and Human Resources Management, she is the academic administrator at Hito Master DaP – UAH, assuming the following roles: Management, organization, coordination and performance evaluation of teaching staff and senior consultants.

She carries out control and evaluation of programme contents, optimizing study plans when it becomes necessary and appropriate.

She ensures academic performance is continually on the rise, launching defined student reinforcement plans in coordination with the rest of the teaching staff.

Outside the sphere of Education, she currently collaborates with several projects within the fashion and luxury industries.

Graduate in Business Science at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as a member of Hito-Team she carries out the role of Financial Manager.

She is the Head of Consolidation for the editorial group behind El Mundo, Expansión, Radio Marca, Telva, etc,

She is responsible for compliance auditing (Law 262 Italy) and identification and analysis of processes in every area of the company, ensuring internal guidelines are applied correctly.

She carries out the monthly financial consolidation of Grupo Unidad Editorial, following the principles established by the IFRS. She is highly experienced in organisational operations (purchasing, sales, mergers, demergers…)

Responsible for adapting year-end accounts related to entities under the Unidad Editorial in compliance with NPGC principles and under the auspices of the IFRS. She executes a monthly analysis and evaluation of the group’s consolidated reports, reporting to its head office, an Italian company listed on the stock exchange.

Other duties include the valuation of subsidiaries, impact analysis on the evolution of accounting standards and budgeting to the group’s balance sheets.
